Aqua-Step and sustainability Water drop

Aqua-Step® products are 100% recyclable and have a long lifespan. They are durable boards made of Stone Polymer Composite (SPC) with a finishing layer. The composition is a combination of mainly limestone, a minimum of PVC, recycled material and a low percentage of additives. Thanks to the available installation systems, the products can be dismounted and reused as raw materials according to the cradle-to-cradle principle.

Aqua-Step® is proud of the fact that some of the products (Aqua-Step XL and Outdoor Panels) are produced locally in Belgium, which means less transport and less CO2 emissions. This not only reduces the impact on the environment, but also ensures faster delivery times and better quality control.

Renewable energy

We strive for as little energy consumption as possible and want to use renewable energy in particular. For example, we have 6000 m2 of solar panels on our industrial halls, which generate 750,000 kW/h. In addition, we strive for a fully electric / hybrid vehicle fleet.

Sustainability process

Circular production process

The production process in Belgium is circular. For example, all production waste is recycled and reintroduced into the process as raw material via our recycling line. 

In addition, water consumption takes place in a closed cycle. As a result, we make a positive contribution to sustainable water and soil management. 

To guarantee the circularity of the product, a QR code is applied to the back of the panel. This serves on the one hand to identify the product and the guarantee. On the other hand, after the product has served for many years, it can be registered via the website to be recycled again.

The road to a greener future Water drop

There are no emissions of harmful substances in the production process. It is 100% free of plasticizers and no formaldehyde is used. In addition, the production process only needs a temperature of a maximum of 220 degrees, which is much lower than the existing alternatives.
